We are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Our mission is to develop students' cognitive, social and physical skills so they can develop balanced attitudes to life, make sound judgements, enjoy a full range of social and cultural activities, maximise their employment opportunities and participate as responsible members of society.
Situated in the Esperance District, Lake King is predominantly a farming area in the Shire of Lake Grace. It lies 45kms south of the town of Varley, 70kms north of Ravensthorpe town site, 65kms east of Newdegate, 265kms north-west of Esperance and 468kms south-east of Perth.
The school currently caters for children with both physical and learning difficulties and general primary classes ranging from kindergarten to year six. Children are predominantly from farming families with all children travelling to school by bus.
We are actively seeking Primary Teachers with ideally exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a natural ability to communicate effectively and foster genuine relationships with parents, students, and colleagues. Suitable applicants would ideally be able to promptly establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment, setting high expectations and cultivating a growth mindset, while nurturing students' social and emotional development.
Ideally, suitable applicants will exhibit exemplary teaching skills, with a strong motivation to excel, and a commitment to delivering best practices. The capacity to excel in an environment characterised by whole-school connected practice, collaborative team structures, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth is highly valued.
As a member of our team, suitable applicants would leverage high-impact teaching strategies and showcase experience in designing and delivering engaging literacy and numeracy programs. An understanding of differentiation to meet diverse student needs is highly valued, along with proficiency in utilising various assessment tools to inform progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide future classroom planning.
We currently have positions available in both our years three to four class and five to six class.
