Working closely with the Commercial Manager and Director of Group FP&A, you’ll produce performance reports, conduct variance analysis, and identify key trends, risks, and opportunities. The financial data you manage will directly feed into reports for senior leadership, including VPs, the CFO, and CEO. You'll also support organisational projects and help drive process improvements through system and reporting enhancements.
This is 12 month fix-term opportunity/maternity leave cover.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver accurate financial analysis, insights, and performance reporting to support strategic decisions, including regulatory submissions (ABS, ACCC).
- Build and maintain financial models, conduct deep-dive investigations, and support both cyclical and ad hoc reporting needs.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning through consolidation and reporting of AOP, quarterly, and rolling forecasts.
- Develop scenario-based financial models and assist in executive reporting, collaborating with Finance & Commercial teams to meet deadlines.
- Support with preparing financial presentations
- Champion continuous improvement in FP&A processes, financial systems, dashboards and reporting frameworks.
What makes you perfect for the role?
- 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, commercial finance, or FP&A, ideally within the telecommunications sector.
- Strong commercial acumen with deep analytical skills, financial modelling expertise, and proficiency in Excel, TM1, SAP, and MS Office.
- Solid understanding of telco financial drivers (e.g. ARPU, churn, subscriber metrics) and the regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial issues clearly and logically to stakeholders.
- Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, prioritisation, and continuous improvement mindset.
