About the role

YWCA Canberra Children’s Services is on the lookout for Diploma Qualified Educators who hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education to join our School Age Care Services across South, Inner South, Inner North, and North Canberra.

We have casual and part time roles available with flexible hours to suit your needs.

In this role, you’ll help craft engaging and educational environments for school-aged children.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver exciting and developmentally appropriate programs.

- Ensure children’s safety and well-being while participating in various activities.

- Foster an environment of respect and empathy, catering to diverse needs and backgrounds.

About You

We’re looking for individuals who are:

- Enthusiastic and flexible with their availability.

- Passionate about working with children, with a genuine warmth and empathy.

- Experienced in the Children’s Services sector.

- Hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

- Equipped with excellent communication skills to connect with children and colleagues alike.

Requirements

- Valid Working with Vulnerable People Card.

- Experience and skills in the Children’s Services industry.

- A commitment to maintaining high safety standards and supporting children with additional or complex learning needs.
