Cairns, Australia Therapy Connect Full time

The Chatty Place Speech Pathology is seeking a passionate and motivated Speech Pathologist (contractor basis) to join our private practice. The role involves providing assessment, diagnosis, and intervention to paediatric clients across daycare, kindergarten, and school environments (all local to the Redlands, minimal travel between locations). There is also potential for clinic-based sessions, depending on preference and client needs.

Location: Redlands (i.e., Ormiston-Thornlands)

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality speech pathology services to children (assessment, goal setting, intervention, reporting)

- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals

- Maintain clinical records and contribute to client progress reviews

- Work independently while upholding professional and ethical standards

About You

- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology

- Current SPA membership and CPSP status

- Blue Card

- Professional Indemnity & Public Liability insurance (i.e., GUILD)

- Driver’s licence and reliable transport (travel to educational settings required)

- Strong communication skills and a child- and family‑centred approach

- Experience in paediatrics is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply

Contract Details

- Contractor arrangement with flexible hours

- Pay structure is highly competitive and negotiable based on experience and caseload
