Overview

A unique opportunity now exists for a suitably qualified Electrical/Instrument Tradesperson to join this dynamic organisation. The successful applicant must be a self-starter, motivated, have strong fault-finding skills, trouble shooting and problem-solving ability as well as possessing good communication, organisational and teamwork skills. Applicants may be required to take part in abilities testing as part of the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

- Trade experience in maintaining, installing and repairing a wide variety of electrical and instrumentation industrial equipment
- Ability to carry out shift work
- Proven safety record
- Be physically fit & able to complete the required tasks
- Car, High risk, RB, LF and WP licenses
- Current High Voltage (HV) Operator, RIC, HV Isolation experience
- Competency utilizing HV Switching programs and issuing HV Permits
- Maintenance Rigging Skills
- Previous experience in heavy industry
- Being computer literate to be able to understand Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Experience with Type B gas work

Wages and Conditions

Wages and conditions will be in accordance with the Opal Maryvale Mill Electrical & Plumbing Enterprise Agreement and will depend on the successful applicant’s skills and qualifications.
