Application Security Analyst

Our Exposure Identification team, within the Vulnerability Management service of the Cybersecurity division, is responsible for identifying the most critical vulnerabilities across Macquarie's IT ecosystem. The team provides a prioritised and contextual view of vulnerability data to help focus remediation efforts effectively.

What role will you play?
As an Application Security Analyst in the Exposure Identification Team, you will manage cyber risks identified through our vulnerability scanning tools.
You will be responsible for maintaining and managing our security scanning tools, primarily SAST and SCA tools, and collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to troubleshoot issues and improve capabilities. You will also work closely with other business units to provide remediation guidance based on security findings.
What you offer
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in application security, vulnerability management, or a similar role.
- Experience with SAST and SCA tools, such as Fortify and Blackduck, is preferred.
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python and scripting is desirable.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools (e.g., Bamboo, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze application logs.
- Ability to derive security insights from data; experience with SQL and Power BI is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience working in Agile teams with strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
