Senior Lawyer | Commercial Dispute Resolution | 4+ PQE

LegalVision is a market disruptor in the commercial legal services industry. Our innovative business model and custom-built technology allow our lawyers to provide a faster, better quality and more cost-effective client experience. LegalVision is a leader in delivering legal services in Australia and has assisted more than 150,000 businesses across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. We were named a LinkedIn Top Startup, one of Lawyers Weekly’s Top 25 Attraction Firms, and Law Firm of the Year at the Australasian Law Awards.
The Opportunity
Our commercial disputes and litigation practice area is looking for a motivated senior associate level lawyer ready to step into a role with real substance. You will have the opportunity to manage and direct your own case load of litigious and pre-litigation advisory matters from start to finish with the support of Practice Leaders when you need it. If you are confident running complex disputes matters, hungry for more autonomy, and ready to take genuine ownership of client relationships and outcomes this is the role for you.
You will work directly with SME clients who value your expertise, and play an important role in coaching and training junior members of the team.
Given the nature of the work, hands‑on experience in disputes relating to contract law, Australian Consumer Law and the Corporations Act is essential. Additional experience in relation to disputes involving regulators, commercial and retail leasing, construction, or intellectual property is highly desirable.
Candidates should be confident with processes and rules of the NSW Courts and the Federal Court. Experience in other jurisdictions will be highly regarded, as will experience acting in proceedings before the NSW Civil and Tribunal Administrative Tribunal (or other state equivalent bodies).
The Ideal Candidate
- Experienced: At least 4 years of quality experience in commercial dispute resolution at a recognised mid or top tier firm.
- Attentive: Brilliant attention to detail; nothing ever slips through the cracks.
- Efficient: Prioritises effectively; focuses on what matters; works productively.
- Commercial: Demonstrates business acumen; cares about business growth (including helping to grow LegalVision further).
- Collaborative: Gets a kick out of working with smart, fun and passionate people and learning from them.
- Adaptable: Grasps new concepts quickly; improves every day; goes with the flow.
- Service Orientated: Loves assisting clients and providing an amazing experience.
- Optimistic: Sees the best in situations; is solutions focused; never gives up.
The Perks
- Fast-paced environment with accelerated growth opportunities for high performers.
- Talented and energetic teammates across Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
- Earn additional ‘LV Leave’ days, plus paid birthday leave, volunteering leave, and parental leave.
- Annual budget to spend on external learning and development.
- Regular firm-wide socials, drinks and team lunches.
- Vibrant office environment in Surry Hills, super close to Central Station.
Apply today
If this role sounds like it could be a great next step, we’d love to hear from you. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and will close once the role is filled, so apply early to avoid missing out.
