We believe in prioritising wellbeing, adventure, creativity and academic rigour, and we value wisdom.We are seeking applications from a suitably qualified Student Attendance Monitor to track, review and report on student absences, in this important safeguarding position.**About the role**Reporting to the Student Safeguarding and Risk Officer, key responsibilities of this role include:· Provide administrative oversight of the monitoring of student attendance across the academic, residential, and co-cocurricular programmes of the School;· Designing and streamlining School systems and processes relating to monitoring student attendance; and· Liaising with staff and parents regarding student absencesThis role will be offered on a full-time ongoing basis, but part time and/or reduced work weeks may be considered.**About you**This opportunity will suit someone who has:· An understanding of the importance of monitoring student attendance as a student safeguarding measure;· Thorough attention to detail and is highly organised;· Initiative in designing and streamlining processes, particularly relating to monitoring student attendance and maximising the use of available technology;· Strong administrative skills; and· A high level of interpersonal skill to engage with diverse stakeholders.Meaningful work, supportive team environment, free on-campus car parking, access to the Handbury Centre for Wellbeing (Gym/Pool), lunch provided during term time and other School community benefits.Geelong Grammar School is committed to the safety of all students and has a zero tolerance of student abuse.
