Reporting to the Accounts Payable Lead, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of sundry invoices and vendor payments in line with payment terms. This role requires strong collaboration across departments to ensure efficient payment workflows, as well as support for new accounts payable processes and projects.
THE ROLE:
- Maintain the sundry creditor ledger and process vendor invoices
- Ensure all invoices are approved for payment and follow up with relevant departments as needed
- Liaise with creditors to resolve invoice discrepancies
- Prepare vendor and overseas payments, and assist with weekly cash flow requirements
- Assist in managing the Accounts Payable inbox and general clerical duties
- Contribute to AP system improvements and participate in ad hoc projects
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- On-site role 5-days per week, based in our St Kilda Road offices.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable experience (retail environment preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to reconcile statements and manage vendor issues proactively
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with Dynamics or AP automation systems (desirable)
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills
- A tertiary qualification or equivalent in accounting or related discipline
