Accounts Payable Officer

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to implement new processes and systems, and take ownership of running all aspects of a full-function accounts payable role. This is an exciting opportunity to join our client, a multi-award winning Victorian company that focuses on integrity, quality, and reliability in the construction industry.
You will be responsible for managing the entire accounts payable process, including:
- Matching invoices to Purchase Orders to process accurately and efficiently.
- Liaising with the estimating and drafting team to ensure seamless communication.
- Managing the 'accounts' inbox and responding to queries from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Complying with approvals processes for payments and ensuring timely and accurate processing of weekly and monthly payment runs.
- Archiving digital documents using Companion software.
- Managing progress stage-claims and debt control effectively.
Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in a similar Accounts Payable role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Experience in Databuild or similar construction software and MYOB or similar accounting software.
