Overview

Wellbeing Carer at Bupa Ballarat care home. A role focused on enriching lives, fostering joy and connection with residents, and supporting their interests within the care home and beyond.

Responsibilities

- Be the fun facilitator: help residents explore interests through activities such as art classes, gardening, day trips, and social events.
- Social connection: encourage friendly interactions and foster belonging through activities like games, conversations, and social gatherings.
- Daily living support: assist with meals, outings, and provide emotional support to residents, including those with cognitive impairment or mental health needs.
- Resident voice: gather feedback through surveys and family conferences to ensure activities meet residents’ needs.
- Team collaboration: work with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, document progress, and raise concerns as needed.
- Hygiene and safety: follow infection control protocols and maintain a tidy environment.
- Meal assistance: support plating and serving meals and monitor resident preferences in line with food safety standards.
