Our Opportunity Due to significant growth and increasing demand across Queensland, NEPEAN Power is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to lead our estimating and tendering activities for Queensland-based projects. This is a senior strategic role, ideal for an accomplished estimator with strong industry connections, deep technical knowledge, and a proven ability to secure high-value contracts. You will be pivotal in supporting NEPEAN Power’s continued growth within the Queensland mining, resources, and industrial markets. Your Role You will be responsible for: - Leading the preparation of detailed, competitive, and technically compliant estimates for Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and tenders originating from Queensland customers. - Developing comprehensive cost models including materials, labour, subcontractors, plant, and preliminary costs for large-scale electrical projects. - Analysing tender documentation, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing strategic pricing recommendations to maximise win rates and profitability. - Collaborating with Business Development, Engineering, and Project Management teams to ensure smooth project handovers and alignment of scope and budget. - Mentoring junior estimators and improving estimating tools, templates, and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. - Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Queensland market rates, labour conditions, and major project developments.
