Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Community Care/Support Worker to join our team and provide high quality in-home support services. You will need experience in aged or disability care and be local or willing to travel to the Liverpool/Fairfield/Smithfield area. Applicants with Assistant in Nursing (AIN) qualifications are encouraged to apply.

About us: Across Australia Just Better Care provides in-home aged care and disability support services, helping people live independently and stay connected to their local community. For over 15 years, we have supported older people and people living with disability to stay in their own homes.

Responsibilities

- Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
- Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
- Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, medical appointments
- Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
- Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
- Monitoring the wellbeing of customers and reporting on their progress
- Provide updates on customer progress following each service

About you

- Good interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication
- Ability to build rapport and good working relationships
- Comfortable using technology (mobile app) for rosters and recording notes/feedback

What you will need

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check
- Vaccination proof where relevant (e.g., COVID-19 vaccination certificate)
- Current First Aid certificate/CPR
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
- Smartphone with internet access
- Current Working with Children Check (preferred)
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (preferred)
