Overview

My client is an established and growing independent investment bank with an excellent reputation in the market. They are sector generalists who predominantly focus on private sell-side M&A transactions but have several ASX 50 clients. Due to growth and a strong pipeline of transactions, the team is now looking to hire an experienced Associate to help them execute a strong and exciting pipeline of deals. The ideal candidate will have built lead M&A advisory experience at a professional services firm, a boutique investment bank, or a bulge bracket firm.

Responsibilities

Upon successful hire, you will be involved in:

- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional development and growth.

- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including company valuations, financial modelling, and due diligence, to support M&A transactions.

- Assist in the preparation of pitch books, information memoranda, and other marketing materials for client presentations.

- Support senior team members in deal execution by coordinating with various stakeholders, conducting market research, and managing due diligence processes.

- Collaborate with clients in structuring and executing capital raising initiatives, including IPOs, private placements, and debt offerings.

- Conduct market research and analysis to provide insights into market trends, investor sentiment, and valuation dynamics.

- Assist in preparing prospectuses, offering memoranda, and other documentation required for capital market transactions.

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial objectives and providing tailored financial solutions.

- Act as a key point of contact for clients, addressing their queries and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

- Work closely with senior bankers and other team members to support various stages of transactions, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is a plus.

- Proven experience in investment banking, specifically in M&A and Capital Markets.

- Strong quantitative and financial modelling skills, with proficiency in financial analysis tools and software.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling presentations and articulate complex financial concepts.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
