College Grove, 18 North East Road, Walkerville, South Australia, Australia
At ECH, we’re proud of what we do, how we work together and the impact that we have on people’s lives. We believe that our people drive our success and how we work together is as important as what we deliver. We are integrating work and life and embrace technology and new ways of working to support a new level of flexibility for our people.
We’re always in search of new ways to improve the lives of older South Australians. To achieve this, we grow our people. Everyone has the opportunity to grow, develop and build their career with ECH and to take part in continuous learning, because we know it makes us better. We also seek out and celebrate diversity in all its forms and tap into the richness of ideas, experiences and perspectives that it brings.
About the Opportunity
As a graduate or early-career member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will begin developing your expertise in specialised foot and lower limb care that helps clients maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Building on your foundational clinical knowledge, you will learn to conduct detailed assessments and develop customised treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices while addressing individual client needs with mentorship and support from senior colleagues.
Your comprehensive care approach will develop to include thorough evaluations, preventative education, therapeutic interventions, and practical guidance on footwear and lifestyle modifications, all delivered in close partnership with clients and their support systems as you grow your confidence and clinical expertise.
About You
The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or early-career podiatrist who is passionate about delivering high-quality podiatric care to seniors and eager to develop expertise in promoting their mobility and wellbeing through structured learning and mentorship.
You will demonstrate foundational understanding of foot conditions and show enthusiasm for developing tailored care plans that address the complex physical, emotional, and cultural needs of older adults, including those experiencing cognitive decline, with the support of experienced team members.
As an emerging clinician, you will combine your clinical training with exceptional people skills and genuine compassion, ready to build strong relationships with patients, their families, and healthcare colleagues while delivering empathetic, person-centred care in a supportive learning environment.
- Recent graduation or early-career podiatrist (0-2 years experience)
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia
- Driver's License
- National Police Check
- Enthusiasm for working with older adults and commitment to professional development
- Student or graduate membership of the Australian Podiatry Association
- Clinical placement experience in geriatric or community settings
Some Perks for You
As a new or recent graduate, you'll benefit from mentorship and regular supervision with experienced podiatrists, access to continuing education and professional development opportunities, and a supportive team environment that encourages questions and learning.
Be MORE at ECH We're passionate about supporting our people as much as our clients and residents. Enjoy wellbeing programs, an environment that creates meaningful connections and opportunities to grow your skills and career all topped off with competitive benefits. Ready to be part of something special? Join us and help older South Australians get MORE out of Life
As part of a not-for-profit organisation, you can enjoy salary packaging benefits of up to $18,549 per year to reduce your taxable income.
We will be reviewing applications as they come in and will move quickly to secure the right candidate. Should you be interested in a confidential discussion, you can connect with Mellisa Bennetts, Senior Talent Business Partner on mellisa.bennetts@ech.asn.au
We encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds to apply, including those living with a disability, from culturally or linguistically diverse backgrounds, part of the LGBTI community, or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
