A full time, ongoing position is available within the Department of Anatomical Pathology.

Position Summary

Provision of anatomical pathology and cytopathology service, and conduct basic, translational research.

Classification or Salary Range: As per award based on experience. Immunisation Category A.

Key Accountabilities

- 1. Reporting of histopathology and cytopathology cases.

- Authorisation of all assigned cases with clinically acceptable turn‑around times.

- Liaison with clinicians and participation in relevant meetings.

- Performance of cut‑up and fine‑needle aspiration biopsies when required.

- 2. Review of outside cases requested by PMCC clinicians.

- Authorisation of all assigned review cases with clinically acceptable turn‑around times.

- Discussion of differences of opinion with source pathologist.

- Liaison with clinicians and participation in relevant meetings.

- 3. Research.

- Conduct high‑quality research leading to publications in high‑impact journals.

- 4. Registrar and laboratory supervision and training.

- Co‑reporting of cases with registrar.

- Creating a learning environment.

- Fostering high professional standards.

- 5. Provision of high‑quality professional service.

- Successful participation in RCPA QAP.
