- Permanent, Full-Time & Part time positions (64 or 80 hrs+ADO - negotiable)

- 7 day rotating roster - including night duty

Department

Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services which focus on people with a mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.

About the role

The Emergency Psychiatry team is comprised of dedicated and compassionate mental health clinicians. This is an incredibly unique and diverse role, which branches across four main areas – Crisis Assessment and Treatment, Triage, Emergency Psychiatry and APACER. Unlike other mental health services where staff generally are siloed into one specific team, this is a fantastic opportunity to work across a variety of unique settings and be a valued member of a supportive team which provide support across each stream depending on demand.

About you

Social Worker - Approved Social Work degree or qualification acceptable for eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers. Post graduate studies in the relevant fields of mental health are highly desirable OR

Occupational Therapist - Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board via AHPRA with tertiary qualifications in occupational therapy and post graduate certificate equivalent in mental health as a minimum and eligibility for membership of the O.T. Australia, Victoria.

Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience. Previous work within an acute community mental health setting, and Drug and alcohol experience is required.

Other relevant tertiary qualification or working towards, in relevant areas such as drug and alcohol or psychosocial or therapeutic interventions, desirable

Australian working rights, satisfactory completion of a Working with Children Check and current Influenza vaccination
