About the role

Tender Mercy Care Pty Ltd is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Ballarat, Victoria on a casual basis. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life through personalised rehabilitation and therapeutic interventions.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs, strengths, and barriers to independence
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to address clients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs
  • Provide hands-on therapy sessions, including but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility training, and cognitive-based interventions
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care
  • Maintain detailed client records and documentation to support the delivery of high-quality care
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a registered Occupational Therapist
  • Demonstrated expertise in providing occupational therapy services to a diverse range of clients, including those with complex needs
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills to tailor interventions to individual client needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and the multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care and upholding the values of Tender Mercy Care
  • AHPRA registration.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Current driver's licence and access to reliable transport for client visits
  • Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
