Role Summary

This is a casual position which is responsible for completing tasks required by the Load Out Supervisor. Tasks completed by this role will assist in distribution of pork products through the Baxters distribution centre.

Core Responsibilities

- Complete the daily loading of fresh and frozen product.
- Report equipment faults in a timely manner to minimise production downtime.
- Ensure adherence to relevant AQIS and Company QA requirements regarding temperature, packaging, product quality and hygiene.
- Initiate export and domestic documentation for product while ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met.
- Ensure that appropriate product status is maintained at all times.
- Ensure the effective control of equipment at all times.
- Ensure all work carried out is undertaken in a safe manner.
- Liaise with relevant personnel regarding grades in chillers and daily load out / load in planning.
- Liaise with Sales staff on matters pertaining to customer orders and logistics.
- Undertake relevant security measures on site at the completion of load out.
- Liaise with Abattoir Manager regarding chiller cycles, chiller maintenance and chiller performance.
- Contribute to key business activities as required.
- Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, processes and work instructions at all times.
- Perform other duties as directed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Working knowledge of Meat Processing operations.
- Experience in the loading of heavy transport vehicles.
- Basic working knowledge of employment and WHS requirements.
- High level communication skills, initiative and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
