A thriving large/mid sized practice in Sydney is seeking a talented senior design architect to work alongside Directors. The right candidate will be confident presenting to clients and managing design teams. Excellent communication, design and interpersonal skills. This is a great opportunity to join a highly regarded award winning practice and work on high beautiful diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Early design work of local and international projects of a large scale

- Undertake feasibilities and yield studies on key sites

- Overview and contribute to the design direction of the practice

- Lead design concepts through the various planning and approval phases of a project.

- Facilitating and directing high-quality presentations of professional standards to communicate concepts to stakeholder groups, including Council and Design Panels

- Local multi-res experience coming from similar design focus practice

- Hands-onability to come up with sketch direction for feasibility/ concept for potential sites

- Input in Management decisions and Business Development

- Excellent design and masterplanning skills

- Overseeing projects from concept through to DA

- Interested and good at new business development, especially with developer clients

- Mentor junior team members on design development and act as a positive role-model to others in support of the team

- Be able to communicate design strategy

- Build strong rapport with clients, consultants and team members

- Collaborate with design team

Skills & Experience

- Relevant architectural qualifications and working rights

- Registered Architect

- Proven local experience working on relevant projects including Multi-residential

- Ability to review, analyse, and make recommendations regarding designs, plans and specifications

- Advanced knowledge of all applicable codes and regulatory agency guidelines including ADG

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and teams

- Revit knowledge preferred

- Strong understanding of the ADG and local codes

- Excellent communication skills

- Past experience on latter stages of documentation and detailing valued
