Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscaper to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape construction, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for creating stunning outdoor spaces. This position requires physical stamina, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work in various weather conditions. Labourer positions available with opportunity to develop skills and training.

Responsibilities

- Landscape Construction: Implement landscape designs, including planting, hardscaping (patios, walkways, retaining walls, paving, stairs, pergolas, decks, ponds), and turf installation.
- Site Preparation: Prepare sites for planting and construction by clearing debris, grading, and leveling ground as needed.
- Planting: Select, plant, and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscaping elements according to design specifications.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, excavators, and other machinery, all heavy machinery only with correct qualifications and tickets.
- Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, pruning, weeding, and fertilizing to ensure the health and aesthetics of landscapes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your team.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in landscape construction or maintenance is required.
- Knowledge of plant types, landscaping techniques, and equipment operation.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A valid driver’s license; a landscape-related certification or qualification, white card.
- Knowledge of local plants and environmental considerations in the Sunshine Coast area is advantageous.
