Based in either our Brisbane or Sydney office, we are looking for a Commercial Operations Lead to join our high-performing team. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end tender and contracts function for a designated business area within our ANZ Commercial Operations team.
As a senior individual contributor, you will develop competitive bid strategies, lead pricing and contract negotiations, and ensure compliance throughout the contract lifecycle. You will be the primary commercial partner for your business area, collaborating closely with internal teams across Sales, Service, Legal, Finance, and Marketing.
This role reports to the Commercial Manager – ANZ and is supported by a Commercial Operations Coordinator.
About the role:
In this role, you will:
- Lead tender strategy and submission for your portfolio, managing timelines, content, and stakeholder engagement to deliver high-quality proposals.
- Negotiate commercial terms and pricing, balancing risk and value to optimise outcomes.
- Manage contract lifecycles post-award, ensuring deliverables, renewals, variations, and KPIs are tracked and actioned.
- Oversee compliance and reporting, aligning with company policies, WHSE regulations, and ISO standards.
- Maintain accurate data in CRM systems (e.g., GForce), validate pricing summaries, and manage documentation libraries.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on pricing, risk, product configurations, and customer deliverables.
- Drive continuous improvement by analysing lost tenders, refining processes, and enhancing tools/templates.
About you:
You are a strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset and exceptional project management skills. You thrive in complex, deadline-driven environments and are confident managing high-stakes negotiations and proposals.
- 5+ years' experience in tender management, bid writing, or contract negotiation—ideally in medical devices, healthcare, or a related field.
- 2+ years' experience in a senior or lead commercial role.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related discipline (desirable).
- Strong commercial and legal acumen—you understand pricing structures, risk management, and contract law basics.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Experience with CRM and tender management systems (GForce or Salesforce essential; SAP pricing a plus).
- A strong compliance and quality mindset, with a commitment to WHS and regulatory standards.
