Lifting Gear Inspector – Melbourne

4 weeks ago

Melbourne, Australia Ranger Group Full time

With more than 25 years in the lifting business we couldn’t be prouder of the team that helped us get here, and the team who are building our future.

Since 1998, we have grown from a small player in the lifting industry to a premier supplier of the largest infrastructure projects in the country. We have our people to thank for that and of course our loyal clients.

While the Ranger of today looks a little different from our early days, the three most important things have remained the same:

1. We’re a family business built on strong foundations;

2. We believe in Service Through Knowledge;

3. We take safety seriously.

You can Google our business to find out what we do. Essentially, we supply, hire, test, certify, and inspect lifting and height safety equipment to a variety of industries across Australia. We provide specialist lifting, planning, design, and engineering services too.

We’re an innovative company and we’re always on the hunt for good people. People with great ideas, initiative, enthusiasm, and people who want to find a better way to do things.

Our business has grown significantly in the last few years, and we’re expanding our Melbourne branch. We’re currently fitting out our facility and are on the hunt for dynamic Lifting Gear Inspectors to join our team.

The role will see you inspecting, repairing, installing and maintaining new and existing lifting, rigging and height safety equipment ensuring it is safe for use and compliant with Australian Standards on behalf of our clients.

It’s a hugely important role for us. You’ll be the main touchpoint with customers – visiting sites across Melbourne to ensure their gear is safe for use and keeping their businesses running efficiently.

Because we want to hit the ground running, we’re looking for an Inspector with Lifting Industry experience. This is a great opportunity for you to make the role your own, work independently and join a new team at the start of something big.

There are a few boxes you’ll need to tick but we’re open to a conversation if you don’t quite tick them all. As always, we look for good people, and create opportunities when we see potential and a great fit.

The must haves:

- Experience in the lifting and rigging industry

- Ability to develop strong client relationships and work autonomously

- Problem-solving and time-management skills

- Confidently work at heights

- Comfortable with technology and working from a tablet

- Current Drivers Licence.

The nice to haves:

- LEEA Team Card Holder

- Industry-related training certificates

- Forklift high-risk work licence.

- Safe working at heights ticket.

- Construction Induction Card (White Card)

- EWP ticket

When joining the Ranger family, you’ll be supported by a business that has your back, wants you to grow, and is willing to invest in your ideas.

If this seems like you, we’d love to hear from you

PLEASE READ:
We don’t want to waste your time or ours. When applying please mention the phrase ‘service through knowledge’ in the subject line or first line of your application so we know this ad has been read in its entirety.
