Overview

Beechboro Christian School (BCS), a culturally diverse and growing school located in Bennett Springs, is part of the Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA). BCS provides Christ-centred, values-based education that empowers students to become all God created them to be. With over 350 enrolments and more than 50 nationalities represented in our community, BCS is a vibrant environment grounded in gospel mission and meaningful relationships.

We are seeking a compassionate and supportive Education Assistant to join our team in either a full-time or part-time, ongoing capacity from the 1st January 2026. You will support students’ wellbeing and learning with care and compassion, work collaboratively with staff and families, assist students with special needs, and engage in ongoing professional growth.

This is more than just an educator position – it's a calling to represent Christ through service, connect authentically with families, and support the flourishing of our school community.

Key Responsibilities

- Demonstrate care, compassion, and support for the spiritual, emotional, and social development of students.

- Understand and uphold your role in safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.

- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and model the school’s staff values of relationships, respect, collaboration, teamwork, responsibility, and accountability.

- Work sensitively and proactively with students, including those with special needs, to support positive outcomes.

- Build and maintain open, positive relationships with families, students, and colleagues to enhance learning and wellbeing.

- Engage in ongoing professional growth, take direction from teachers, and collaborate regularly regarding student progress and support.

Selection Criteria

- Have a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, and be an active member of a Christian Church

- Accept the Association’s Statement of Faith, Code of Conduct, Foundational Belief, and Educational Philosophy

- Hold a Certificate III in Educational Support (or equivalent)

- Communicate clearly and precisely with students and staff

- Demonstrate strong team and interpersonal skills

- Be a self-motivated learner with a willingness to develop as an educator
