Surrounded by recycled fashion, toys, books and vintage gems, you will work with our State Retail Team and lead a team of dedicated volunteers to meet financial targets of our Queensland retail network and improve customer engagement.

This role is ideal for an existing Assistant Manager or Store Manager looking to take the next step in their career. Here you’re empowered to make a difference in children’s lives by learning, sharing and collaborating to find new ways to solve problems. In this full‑time permanent position, based in Brendale, you’ll lead retail operations and stock management for the Brendale store and depot. This hands‑on role involves driving sales, supporting volunteers, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining store presentation and overseeing the sorting, pricing and distribution of stock. Leading approximately 20 volunteers you will be part of our retail team and report to the Area Manager.

What you will do

- Achieving sales targets through effective retail strategies

- Maintaining strong visual merchandising and store presentation standards

- Collaborating with Retail stakeholders, including Area Managers, State Manager and Retail Operations team to ensure the right products are delivered to the right stores, maximising sales and inventory turnover.

- Maintaining pricing and sorting standards in line with the National Stock Strategy.

- Supporting, training, and developing a team of dedicated volunteers

- Developing and maintaining a depot layout that supports smooth product movement, efficient storage and safety in line with the National guidelines.

- Supporting Retail initiatives including set up of new stores as needed.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated retail experience, preferably in a fashion environment

- Strong leadership and influencing skills, with a successful track record in managing, engaging, and developing staff

- An ability to drive continuous improvement, provide accurate reporting and analyse data

- Strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills

- Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to adapt quickly
