The Team:

Flinders Island Multi-Purpose Centre is seeking experienced Enrolled Nurses to join our team. The facility comprises an emergency/outpatient service, five acute beds and an aged care service with 9 aged care beds providing high, low and respite care. Flinders Island is based in the Bass Strait between Victoria and the northeast coast of Tasmania, with a population of approximately 900 people.

- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- advanced assessment, problem solving and organisational skills
- previous experience working with the elderly and people with dementia

Details of appointment

Multiple permanent, full time/part time, shift worker (fully rotational) positions, up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant. The selection process may be used for similar vacancies for twelve months from the date of publication.

Salary: $70,980 to $78,179 per annum (pro rata). Employer 12% superannuation is on top of this amount.

- Salary range in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023

Additional allowances may be available, calculated on the salaried incremental point:

- Post Graduate Allowance up to 7.5% based on qualification type

Salary Packaging

You’ll have access to salary packaging with benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 plus $2,650 for meal entertainment each FBT year, and other eligible benefits.

- District Allowances up to $4,618 per annum for a family
- Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of $3,699 per annum and an additional 10% salary allowance
