We're seeking a motivated individual who thrives on helping others for a full time, ongoing role based at our Morley site.
You’ll also experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9 day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week.
You’ll be supported by a team of coaches, mentors and counsellors. Together, we can make a positive change in the lives of others.
Kickstart your career with Workskil Australia. We’ll provide comprehensive training, and help you achieve a Certificate IV in Employment Services within the first 12 months on the job.
Key Responsibilities
- Employment Coach is a dynamic and rewarding position. You will play a key role in assisting our customers to set and achieve their goals while meeting the contractual requirements of an employment service provider.
- Your day-to-day can include the following:
- Assisting diverse customers in overcoming personal and professional challenges
- Delivering coaching to improve employability skills, confidence and career planning
- Preparing quality resumes, cover letters and supporting the job application process
- Finding suitable employment opportunities for customers and advocating on their behalf
- Referring customers to internal and external support for housing, mental health and financial counselling
- Providing additional mentoring and support during the first six months of employment
- Documenting customer information and progress accurately within Workskil Australia and Government systems
About You
- You’ll be a great fit for the team if you have a passion and drive for helping others. You will be self-motivated, inclusive and open-minded, and willing to listen and support without judgement. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Ability to achieve individual targets and work to clearly defined KPIs
- Strong administration skills and IT literacy, including data entry, Word, Excel and Outlook
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Meeting a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute
- Applicants with previous experience in employment services will be highly regarded.

Remuneration
A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging.
