Geelong, Australia Tribal Group Full time

Tribal

Tribal Group Plc is a UK-based EdTech business providing market-leading software solutions to the global education market. We strive to research, develop and deliver the products, services and solutions needed by education institutes worldwide to support their primary goals of educating students, providing optimum learning experiences and ultimately delivering successful outcomes.

We have an ambitious strategy to build upon our position and support the education market evolving to a SaaS model.

We are currently looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team based in Geelong.

The Role

You will join our Callista software team in Geelong that is responsible for designing and developing our integrated, web-enabled student management system for tertiary institutions. The extensive functionality of Callista ensures that our customers can manage the entire student lifecycle from initial enquiries to graduation.

In this role, you will work in close collaboration with our customers and internal stakeholders conducting key business analysis activities including discovery, analysis and design, and development of user stories. Throughout the process, you will utilize your market insight and clear understanding of the Australian Tertiary Education sector.

Key Responsibilities will include:

- Devising functional solutions which may take the form of new and/or enhanced functionality and/or adaptations of existing functionality.
- Collaborate with client business experts to analyze business processes and practices.
- Interact with clients, including analysis sessions, walk-through of business requirements specifications, and product presentations.
- Collaborate with other Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and Developers to ensure the product vision and designed solutions are feasible and viable.
- Review and provide advice on software design, based on a sound understanding of business requirements and Callista architecture.
- Produce detailed designs and user stories that enable effective and efficient development and testing.
- Assist with pre-sales activities as required, including preparing documents or contributing to sales presentations.

The Person

We are seeking an enthusiastic Business Analyst. You will ideally have knowledge and experience in the Australian tertiary education sector; however, applicants from other backgrounds are welcomed.

You will need to be a great communicator and enjoy working across multi-disciplined teams, able to articulate complex functional requirements to both technical and non-technical colleagues, peers, and customers.

You will be able to demonstrate an excellent ability to identify, articulate, and agree on business requirements, to turn business requirements into functional requirements and produce user stories that succinctly describe the functionality required. While it is not essential, experience including API & Integration definition would be beneficial.

Working for Tribal

Along with a competitive salary and benefits, we offer a friendly and supportive working environment. This is a great opportunity to use your existing skills and learn new ones in a global technology organization.
