About the role

The Executive Support Officer is responsible for the provision of a wide range of executive administration and project support services including diary management, provision of administrative services for meetings and organising travel/accommodation. Management of internal and external correspondence and briefings, including independently preparing responses where required, dealing with enquiries of a complex, sensitive and confidential nature.

The ideal candidate will be highly skilled and an adaptable professional confident in managing high-pressure environments to achieve outstanding results. You will be an excellent communicator with a strategic mindset.

Special Conditions

The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).

- Out of hours work will be required.

- Intrastate and interstate travel with overnight absences may be required.

- Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Development Program.

- Eligibility to work in Australia.
