About the position
The Gardener position isresponsible for undertaking highly skilled gardening duties andresponsible for the safe operation and maintenance of plant andequipment to ensure delivery of the desired standards of service inthe maintenance of Council parks and gardens. This positionwill be responsible for the care and maintenance of machinery andmay be required to perform a range of park maintenance duties usingvarious pieces of equipment.
This position will work undergeneral supervision.

How to be successful in this position - SuccessCriteria
- Hold the mandatoryqualification(s), training and/or experience, as outlined underthe 'Success Criteria' in the Position Description .
- Demonstrated ability to perform work at thehorticulturalist trade or equivalent level with the ability toapply appropriate skills to suit varying demands of thework.
- Demonstrated basic numeracy, written and oral communicationskills.
- Demonstrated ability to understand directions and tocommunicate information and instructions effectively withinternal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability tocommunicate accurately and provide advice in a helpful mannerto a wide range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively, safely andethically under general supervision in a team environment.
