Skilled Trade Assistant

Our client is a leading structural steel fabrication company specialising in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Quality, safety, and teamwork is central to what they do. We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable Skilled Trades Assistant to join our clients' day shift.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operating the overhead crane to move steel components around the workshop
- Assisting with general labouring duties (cutting, grinding, lifting, cleanup, etc.)
- Preparing and applying spray paint/coatings to steel structures and components
- Assisting with loading/unloading, masking, surface prep, and touch-up work
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Adhering to all workplace health & safety procedures and wearing required PPE

Key Requirements / Skills

- Ability to safely operate an overhead crane
- Experience in spray painting or industrial coating application
- Comfortable with general labouring tasks, heavy lifting, manual handling
- Valid driver’s licence
