Overview

Sky News Australia’s Sydney office is recruiting an interview producer for breakfast show First Edition. Working with host Peter Stefanovic, the interview producer will be in charge of booking guests for the show, researching the subject and preparing the host’s questions, setting up the interview production elements from graphics to background footage, and arranging location and equipment for interviews, including videoconferencing solutions. They may also aid other producers with processing news coverage.

Responsibilities

- Book guests for the show and coordinate interview logistics.
- Research topics and prepare the host’s questions.
- Set up interview production elements, including graphics and background footage.
- Arrange location and equipment for interviews, including videoconferencing solutions.
- Aid other producers with processing news coverage when required.

Qualifications

- Up to three years’ experience in a live newsroom environment.
- Ability to make sound editorial judgments quickly and manage time-sensitive decisions.
- Proven skills in arranging operations logistics and coordinating with credible guest sources.
- Proficiency in Quantel and ENPS may be highly considered.
