Overview

King's College is an ELC to Year 12 Christian independent school located in the coastal city of Warrnambool in south-west Victoria. The College is a member of Independent Schools Victoria and Christian Schools Australia. Position Overview

King's College is committed to supporting the education of all students. The Learning Support Coordinator is responsible for promoting an inclusive educational environment by supporting students with diverse needs to engage effectively with the curriculum and school life. This includes students with high intellectual potential as well as those requiring additional support. Support may be required in one or more domains such as learning, social-emotional, and physical. The Learning Support Coordinator organises inclusion for students both in academic activities as well as in non-academic activities such as at recess and lunchtime, on excursions, and on school camps.

Key Relationships

The Learning Support Coordinator reports to the Head of Teaching and Learning. They meet regularly in order to confer about issues relating to the role. The Learning Support Coordinator also collaborates closely with the Heads of Schools and teachers. They coordinate learning assistants.
