Principal, Risk Consulting Analytics

We are currently seeking a Principal to join our Risk Management Consulting practice in Sydney or Melbourne. This position would sit under our highly successful Aon Global Risk Consulting division and work collaboratively with multiple teams throughout Aon.

What the day will look like

The role is responsible for working with external and internal stakeholders to create new and improve existing data analytic solutions for clients.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ability to manage and deliver on client engagements that may include, but not limited to:

- Captive Feasibility Studies;
- Loss modelling and reserving; and
- Risk quantification models.

- Delivery of consulting services including presentation of insights and analytics to clients
- Execution of tasks and projects at the allocated time and budget
- Creation of tools and data analytics products from conception to rollout using prototyping and agile methodologies
- Advocacy and training driving adopting of data analytics tools and data science products to the broader users
- Documentation of thought leadership, RFPs and reports containing analytical insights.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

- Minimum 5 years in a role requiring autonomous development of data analytic products by programming
- Actuarial Qualified – advantageous but not required
- Experience working in a consultancy role
- Experience in the general insurance industry
- Additional qualifications and credentials in decision science methods, statistics, project management and software development are advantageous but not essential.
