We’re looking for a House Supervisor who’s passionate about creating a safe, stable, and supportive environment for young people living in out-of-home care. In this vital role, you’ll lead and inspire a team of Residential Care Workers, helping shape a positive day-to-day experience for the young people in our care.

What You’ll Do:

- Oversee the daily operations of the home when the primary House Supervisor is off duty or not present.

- Support, guide and coordinate a team of dedicated Residential Care Workers.

- Ensure that each young person in the home feels safe, respected, and empowered.

- Uphold and model trauma-informed and person-centred care in every aspect of the home.

You’ll be based in one of our residential homes, part of our Out of Home Care Program, reporting to the House Supervisor or the Coordinator in their absence. These homes are more than just a place to live — they’re a foundation for young people to grow, heal and thrive.

We have various opportunities available in our North Metro Melbourne team. The positions report to the House Supervisor.

- Hourly Rateof $44.58 to $47.97 as outlined in the SCHADS Award Level 4, dependent on qualification and experience. Penalty and allowances are applied on top of hourly rate.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.

- Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead and support a team of residential care workers.

- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field, particularly within a therapeutic environment.

- Proven ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Requirements:

- Hold a current and valid Driver’s Licence;

- Hold a current and valid Employee Working with Children Check

- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);

- Hold a valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check

- Relevant Diploma with substantial experience, including four (4) additional mandatory competencies (top up units)
