Position Overview

The Construction Estimator is responsible for estimating materials and labor, ensuring the business operates within budget.

Responsibilities

- Prepares and delivers estimates and cost plans for the construction of patios, pergolas, and other structures.

- Interprets plans, regulations, and codes of practice to ensure compliance with relevant standards.

- Calculates project costs and estimates timeframes for completion of construction activities.

- Performs accurate measurements and collects on-site data to support project planning and estimation.

- Performs routine computations related to materials, labor, and project requirements.

- Inspects work and materials on-site to verify quality and adherence to specifications.

- Supervises and oversees trades workers on-site, ensuring compliant demolition of old structures and proper installation of new ones.

- Ensures construction and renovation activities are carried out in a manner that keeps the project within the approved budget.

- May demonstrate installation and construction techniques on-site to reduce wastage of materials and hours of work.

Required Qualifications

Degree, Associate Degree or Diploma in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimation, preferably with a focus on patio or outdoor structures.
