Your Role

As a Centre Cook, you will play a key role in creating a nurturing, healthy environment through food. You will:

- Plan and prepare nutritious, seasonal meals and snacks
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked kitchen
- Order supplies and manage inventory
- Communicate with educators to meet dietary needs
- Support the centre’s mealtime routines and assist where needed
- Be open to learning more about nutrition for different age groups, especially infants

About You

You are passionate about creating food with purpose and care.

You will have:

- A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Working with Children Blue Card
- Strong knowledge of dietary requirements and allergy management
- A practical understanding of food budgeting and planning
- Cooking experience in early childhood settings is essential
- A commitment to supporting children’s growth, development, and wellbeing through food
- Ability to support special events within the centres
- Experience completing all food safety program documentation
