Join our team in a 12‑bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), our ICU operates with a 1:2 nurse to patient ratio. We offer Telehealth intensivists for immediate support and manage a diverse range of diagnoses including respiratory failure, cardio/pulmonary disease, sepsis, and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, administering specialized treatments, monitoring critical conditions, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. This position provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where teamwork, critical thinking, and compassionate care are paramount.

A Director (RN) who excels in this role:
To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
- Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
- Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
- Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of North Carolina or from a compact state. Additional requirements include:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
- Minimum overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
