This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you as a Senior Solutions Design Engineer to showcase your skills by provide system designs, technical assistance, layout drawings and 3D renders, as well as project estimates and proposal preparation. You will also provide supervision, training and support to the less experienced Design Engineers as well as taking a lead role in developing complete system concepts and sales strategies along in conjunction with Sales.

SOME OF THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE IS

- Provide Solution Designs, Layouts, Estimating and Sales support

- Optimise designs and pricing to be as competitive as possible

- Review proposed designs & costs

- Assist in preparation of proposal/tender submissions

- Ensure smooth and complete handover of contracts to the delivery side of our business

- Monitor design and cost erosion on completed jobs

- Offer supervision, training and support to the less experienced Design Engineers

ABOUT YOU

- Tertiary qualified in an Engineering related discipline

- Logistics Industry relevant Solution and System Design experience

- Experience using AutoCad or other design/drawing packages

- Learn our internal Maestro design and drawing package including 3D’s

- Advanced MS Office Skills (Excel)

- Have strong communication and presentation skills

- Excellent time management and organization skills

- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced Business Development environment

- Be able to liaise with all the other departments within the company

- Strong analytical thinking and numerical skills
