Lead Operations Engineer – Water and Sewer Directorate
Overview
Do you want to lead the delivery of critical services to the community? Do you love to lead a team of professionals in identifying unique solutions to problems? We are currently seeking a new Lead Operations Engineer to join our Water and Sewer Directorate.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams in the investigation, design and delivery of specific capital works projects
- Drive operational improvements through strategic advice and hands-on leadership
- Oversee daily operations of the Systems Operations Section, including Senior Operations Engineers, Operations Engineers, and Technical Officers
- Engage with internal stakeholders and the community to ensure effective service delivery and project completion
- Contribute to development and implementation of key operational improvements within water and sewer networks
Qualifications and Candidate Profile
- A degree qualification in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field
- Extensive experience in water and sewer network operations, including proficiency in SCADA systems
- Demonstrated success in delivering operational projects or programs
- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations relevant to water and sewer networks
- Proven ability to assess, interpret and judge information or situations, and formulate recommendations based on findings
- Proven leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders
Salary and Benefits
- Salary range: $111.1k to $133.6k plus 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance (in accordance with the Award) plus 12% Superannuation; a market loading payment may apply for the right candidate
- Permanent full-time role with 9-day fortnight option
- Hybrid and flexible working conditions (2 days from home, 3 days onsite)
- Leaseback vehicle provided for official duties; vehicle choice on availability; temporary vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week when vehicles are not available
- Location: Nexus Business Hub, North Wyong
