Job Description

Currently we have an excellent opportunity to join a growing, city-based O&G service in Canberra, offering a balanced obstetrics and gynaecology workload with strong education support and competitive allowances.

Salary: Up to $450,000 AUD Inclusive of super + allowances + private practice scheme (£220,000)
Position: Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist
Hours: Full-time
Setting: Mixed obstetrics, theatres, clinics; rostered on-call
Location: Canberra, ACT

Your key responsibilities will be

- Provide consultant-led obstetric and gynaecology care

- Cover labour ward, clinics, theatres, and on-call

- Lead multidisciplinary decision‑making and escalation

- Supervise trainees, midwives, and junior doctors

- Optimise clinical pathways and patient flow

- Participate in audit, governance, and service development

- Contribute to teaching and CPD programs

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has

- On specialist register by CCT and MRCOG

- Strong O&G experience

- Strong leadership and communication skills
