Job Description

- Lead the delivery and implementation of project deliverables, including producing all necessary documentation for product delivery, acceptance, and ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyse complex challenges, assess risks and opportunities, and make informed decisions to overcome project or program obstacles. Negotiate solutions across the organisation to achieve objectives within time and resource limits.
- Evaluate, understand, and implement technology solutions and tools related to the SAP upgrade or the broader ERP portfolio program.
- Ensure business requirements from multiple business units are accurately captured, approved, and aligned with overall business initiatives, priorities, and operational needs.
- Proactively manage customer needs and expectations, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality assurance standards to maintain high satisfaction.
- Provide leadership at both team and senior levels, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders based on trust and clear communication.
- Ensure the adoption of appropriate delivery frameworks and methodologies tailored to the project's requirements.
- Manage the project to professional standards in accordance with relevant corporate policies, technical standards (including information security), legislation, and government requirements. Provide transparent reporting on progress, risks, challenges, and outcomes.
- Oversee external vendors and internal teams per contract agreements, supporting procurement, project tracking, relationship management, deliverable monitoring, contract and budget oversight, and reporting. Internal teams may include change management and architecture functions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and synergies to enhance ways of working.

The Successful Applicant

- Proven experience managing SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration projects within large-scale corporate environments.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ECC Payroll solutions, including implementation and support, and ideally experience migrating from ECC Payroll to S/4HANA Payroll (H4S4 - Core Human Capital Management for S/4HANA).
- Skilled in driving technical migrations from ECC6 to S/4HANA, including managing the reduction and remediation of existing customizations carried over to the new system.
- Demonstrated resilience and ability to overcome project challenges to meet schedule and financial targets, with strong multitasking and independent decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage clearly and effectively with all levels of an organisation through verbal, written, and presentation formats; strong facilitation, influencing, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experienced in motivating and mobilising teams, working collaboratively with senior leaders, and driving progress amid ambiguity or changing conditions.
- Strong track record of delivering high-quality ICT projects using SAP Activate methodology alongside contemporary project and application development methodologies.
- Certified in project management best practices (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2), with demonstrated experience applying these to deliver client-focused ICT projects; relevant SAP certifications related to ECC to S/4HANA migration preferred.
- Proficient in producing accurate project status reports, forecasting financial and resource needs, and maintaining reporting standards.
- Knowledgeable in organisational change management and benefits realisation practices.
- Proficient user of MS Project and the MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
