About the Role
This fantastic role is for an enthusiastic Solicitor looking to join our high performing Insurance - CTP team in our Sydney office on a full‑time basis. Ideally, you will be newly admitted or have up to 3 years’ post‑qualification experience with a keen interest in insurance law.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of CTP matters and services including CTP defendant insurance, personal injury claims and more complex and catastrophic claims. Our specialised expertise lies in effectively managing high‑volume and intricate disputes, offering tailored claims‑management solutions to CTP insurers.
This varied role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to be heavily involved in all aspects of the above matters, allowing you to make a significant contribution to their outcome. You will work as part of a close‑knit team which boasts a collegiate, supportive and collaborative culture, making it the perfect environment for you to enhance your legal career while gaining exposure to high‑value and complex matters, working directly with one of our high‑performing Principal Lawyers.
About you
We are interested in candidates who are motivated to gain experience and insight into our CTP law practice area. Ideally, you will have:
- Prior exposure to and/or a strong, genuine interest in insurance law and CTP work
- Newly admitted or with up to 3 years’ post admissions experience in an insurance practice, preferably with a background in CTP defendant matters
- Ability to work fast and meticulously with high attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A great work ethic and be keen to learn and develop your career
- Teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to work independently
- A hard‑working and dedicated approach to your practice
Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrates an understanding of the legal issues relevant to the practice of insurance law and a demonstrated ability to understand and respond to the commercial objectives of clients
- This role requires an eye for technical detail but also the ability to provide legal advice in a commercial context. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate clearly with a high level of attention to detail
- Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels of seniority
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to deal confidently with clients directly and foster client relationships
- Time management skills and proven ability to prioritise multiple active matters at any one time
- Capacity to problem‑solve and think laterally
