Curis Recruitment is proud to represent a health service based in Victoria, helping them hire an outstanding Senior Speech Pathologist for an agency contract.

Job Details

- Up to $78.37 per hour base rate

- Fully furnished housing provided for the duration of the contract

- Return travel from within Australia provided

- Full‐time 80 hours per fortnight

Responsibilities

As the Senior Speech Pathologist in acute speech pathology services, you will work with the multidisciplinary team in managing complex communication and swallowing disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will have the opportunity to teach and lead VFSS, FEES, tracheostomy and laryngectomy competencies, with individualized support from a Grade 4 Clinical Lead Speech Pathologist.

You will reside in a beautiful regional part of Victoria, offering a blend of historical charm and modern conveniences. The area has a population of approximately 110,000 people and plenty of outdoor activities.

Qualifications

- Certified Practicing Membership with Speech Pathology Australia

- Current driver’s licence

- Minimum of seven years’ experience, including significant experience with adults in acute care and preferably a postgraduate qualification in the relevant clinical area of practice

- Advanced knowledge of assessment, treatment and management options for adult clients with swallowing and communication difficulties, with demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge

- Demonstrated ability to identify, implement and review quality improvement activities, and positively influence change as required
