Balranald deposit is one of the highest-grade mineral sands deposits in the world, containing significant quantities of titanium minerals rutile and zircon, as well as smaller but material quantities of rare earths.Using remotely operated, novel underground mining (UGM) technology to extract key critical minerals. The technology we have developed enables access to ore bodies previously thought to be uneconomic - in future, we hope it brings potential to unlock other deep deposits of critical minerals, including those nearby to the Balranald project. You can choose to reside locally, drive-in drive-out from towns within the regional area, or fly-in fly-out from Melbourne. We currently travel during rostered work time which reduces the impact on your rostered days off. For South Australian residents we will mobilise you via road transport from our Iluka office in Adelaide.**About the Role**Reporting through to the Technical Services Manager, the Mining Engineer will provide technical expertise on practical mining solutions to ensure the ongoing efficient delivery of the mining operation objectives. This position is responsible for communicating, maintaining, and integrating the consolidated mining extraction, surface mining, backfill, tailings and rehabilitation plan for the mine site.Key responsibilities will include input into daily production and development activities to ensure management of the short and medium term mine plan.
