Our Venues and Catering team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and creating unforgettable experiences. From day-to-day operations, organising conferences and workshops to hosting special events and celebrations, we are committed to ensuring that every event is executed seamlessly and leaves a lasting impression.

Primary Objectives

- Provide outstanding customer service to guests and clients, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
- Assist with the setup and preparation of venues for events, including arranging furniture, setting up audio‑visual equipment, and decorating spaces.
- Support catering operations by serving food and beverages, managing food stations, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Handle event logistics, such as greeting and directing guests, managing registration or check‑in processes, and addressing any issues that arise during events.
- Work closely with event coordinators and other team members to ensure all aspects of the event are executed according to plan.
- Maintain a high standard of presentation and professionalism, representing UniSC in a positive and courteous manner.
- Follow health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures and emergency protocols.

Desirable Qualifications or Skills

- Previous experience in front‑line customer service, hospitality, or event support roles is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail, with the capability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
- A proactive and positive attitude, with a focus on providing a high quality guest experience.
- Basic understanding of health and safety standards, particularly in a food service environment.
