ERM ANZ is currently recruiting for a full time Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team based in Sydney. This is a 9-month temporary position covering a maternity leave.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

ROLE PROFILE:

The successful candidate will report directly to the Accounting Supervisor and be responsible for a variety of duties across the financial accounting function.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Timely and accurate monthly closing i.e. ensures all authorised journals are processed and appropriate accruals are made.

Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts to provide relevant and timely financial information to management

Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures

Ensure all Group & ANZ financial reporting deadlines are met

Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenue and expenses

Monthly General Ledger Reconciliations

Assist in the annual audit

Insurance renewal and certificate requests

Collation of Australian Bureau of Statistics information and submission as required

Withholding tax payments and certificates

IFRS16 office lease reconciliations and monthly submissions

Internal tax reporting for monthly, quarterly and annual lodgements and payments (payroll tax, GST, PAYG, FBT etc)

QUALIFICATIONS:

ERM attracts staff that build excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and staff that are able to work in fast-paced project
environments. To be successful for this role you will demonstrate and possess:

2+ years accounting experience as a financial accountant.

Degree qualification or close to finishing accounting degree

Experienced in using ERP systems for financial reporting and month-end closing activities.

High attention to detail and accurate data entry

Strong and effective communication skills

Intermediate to advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with strong professional work ethic

Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Ability to work as part of a team and independently
