About the role

You’ll wake up each morning wanting to see people enjoy food as much as you do. Bring this joy to the kitchen and dining at our Mount Gravatt Residential Aged Care service on a permanent part-time basis and join the team that provides quality healthy meals to our residents. Previous experience as a Food Services Assistant/Kitchen Hand is essential.

Here’s what a typical day involves:

- Prepping food and drink.
- Cleaning (including dishes) – you bring a sparkle to the place in more ways than one.
- Changing up the menu. You’ll work with our team and residents to create exciting meals that cater to every individual.
- Keeping records as part of our Food Safety Program.
- Being active and on your feet for most of your shift.

You’ll be a real team player who has:

- A real desire to make a difference in people’s lives
- Experience in kitchen work (aged care is a bonus)
- Great time management and planning skills
- Completed the Basic Food Handling Course
