Overview

We're seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist - Linux/Unix to deliver and securely operate infrastructure services, ensuring effective and efficient technology delivery across multiple sites. This is a hands-on operational role focused on business-as-usual (BAU) support, maintenance, and improvement of critical systems, with opportunities to contribute to new infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver, operate, and implement infrastructure platform services across all sites to ensure service availability, capacity, and resilience.

- Collaborate with cross-functional digital and infrastructure teams to support ongoing operations and continuous improvement.

- Work with external service providers on maintenance and monitoring of infrastructure systems and services, identifying risks, issues, and performance impacts.

- Provide operational performance metrics and dashboard reporting for infrastructure services.

- Participate in after-hours support for patching activities and projects as required.

About You

You're an experienced Linux/Unix administrator with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

- Tertiary qualification in Technology, Business, or equivalent experience.

- 10+ years' experience in Information Technology.

- 5+ years' hands-on experience in Red Hat and Solaris administration.

- Proficiency with the Red Hat product suite (Satellite, Ansible, Puppet) and Solaris (SPARC hardware, LDoms, Zones, ZFS).

- Strong scripting experience in PERL and Shell.

- Familiarity with virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.

- Proven ability to deliver, operate, and implement technology solutions across multiple sites.

Contract Details

A daily rate of $800 to $950 + superannuation is on offer, with strong potential for contract extension.
