About the role

Penny Young Pty Ltd is seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our patrons. This is a full-time position based in our Moonee Ponds, VIC 3039 location.

What you'll be doing

Help to develop and implement innovative menu concepts that showcase your culinary expertise

Add to the team of kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment

Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation and consistency

Maintain strict inventory control and cost-effective purchasing practices

Liaise with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Ensure compliance with all food safety and health regulations

Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the restaurant

What we're looking for

Minimum 4 years of experience as a Chef or in a similar senior culinary role

Formal culinary training or qualifications in the Hospitality & Tourism industry

Exceptional culinary skills, with a strong knowledge of food trends and techniques

Excellent time management and organisational abilities

Passion for delivering exceptional customer service

Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
